AUSTRALIA and Nigeria will square off in the Inter-Continental Cup final after overcoming their respective opponents in the semi-finals yesterday.

Nigeria defeated Chile 2- 1 while Australia beat Ireland 3-1.

But if Nigeria, who like Australia will play in the Olympics, harbour hopes of winning at the KLFA Stadium tomorrow, they must improve their finishing.

Strikers Sarki Emmanuel, Oweri John and Chima Daniel were guilty of some unbelievable misses yesterday and Australia will punish them if they don’t sharpen up tomorrow.

Okoro Osadebamwen scored Nigeria’s first in the 65th minute but suffered a scare when David Lianos equalised in the 75th minute.

However, Osadebamwen saved Nigeria with the winner in the 83rd minute.
