Bosingwa gets EPL lessons from Ronaldo

LONDON: Chelsea’s new right-back Jose Bosingwa has been getting advice from Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo about how to handle life in the Premier League.

Hull sign up trio

LONDON: Hull have completed the signings of winger Peter Halmosi, midfielder George Boateng and goalkeeper Tony Warner.
The club paid Division Three side Plymouth an undisclosed fee to sign Halmosi on a four-year contract.
Boateng signed a two-year deal after leaving Middlesbrough, while Warner joined from Fulham for two years as a free agent. – AP

Hleb becomes Barca’s fifth signing

MADRID: Belarus midfielder Alexander Hleb has left Arsenal to become Barcelona’s fifth off-season acquisition.
Barcelona paid the Premier League club 15mil euros (US$23.7mil) for the playmaker, who passed a routine medical on Wednesday before signing a four-year contract with the Spanish club.
