SEREMBAN: Police believe the two men shot dead at Km8.8 of the North-South Expressway at a petrol station in Changlun, Kedah on Tuesday, were the same men responsible for killing two individuals in separate incidents within a week here last month.
State police chief Datuk Osman Salleh said police believed the two suspects were involved in the killing of former Simpang Renggam detainee Abdullah Ali, 42, and debt collector Ananda Krishnan, 46, at Taman Rasah Jaya Flats and Taman Seremban Jaya on Aug 23 and 29 respectively.
“The modus operandi in both cases were similar. The assailants used masks, fired several shots from close range and fled in a red Honda Civic,” Osman said here yesterday, adding that the motive behind the two murders in Rasah Jaya and Seremban Jaya were revenge and bad debts.
It was reported Kedah police believe the two suspects shot dead in Changlun were also involved in several robberies, murders and kidnappings in Selangor, Johor, Negri Sembilan and Penang.
The north-bound car with the two men, which police had been tailing for some time, had stopped at the petrol station after the Jitra toll plaza at 10am.
