RAUB: She is only 5 years old, but it did not matter to three secondary-school students who allegedly took turns to rape her when she was left alone at home last Sunday.
It was learnt that the suspects aged between 13 and 15, who are friends of the victim’s brother in Kampung Seri Melayu, Sempalit, had earlier joked and played with the victim in her room before allegedly placing their fingers into her private parts, and later raping her.
State Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief Superintendent Mohd Haris Daud said the suspects had arrived at the girl’s house between 1pm and 5pm on Sunday to meet her brother.
“After learning the brother was not home, they entered the house and coaxed the victim to follow them into one of the rooms before one of them unzipped her pants.
“The suspects then inserted their fingers into her private parts before raping her.”
Haris said when the victim’s mother, a restaurant helper returned from work to bath her daughter, the victim complained of pain in her private parts.
She immediately took her daughter to Raub Hospital for a check-up before they lodged a police report.
