Girls’ singles player Florah Ng.
TITLE hopefuls Mak Hee Chun-Teo Kok Siang will lead Malaysia’s charge in the World Junior Championships in Pune on Oct 24-Nov 2 in an attempt to match their achievement in Auckland last year.
Malaysia secured the mixed doubles title through Lim Khim Wah-Ng Hui Lin in Auckland but both players are now overaged and the burden falls on Hee Chun-Kok Siang to deliver.
Hee Chun-Kok Siang have improved tremendously since winning the Asian Junior crown in Kuala Lumpur in July and have the rare chance to secure the double in Pune if they can handle the pressure being Malaysian best bets.
Tee Jing Yi is the other experienced shuttler in the team but the Uber Cup player has often flattered to deceive which means it will be hard to expect a medal from her.
Hee Chun is also good for a medal in the mixed doubles where he will partner Vivian Hoo.
