KUALA TERENGGANU: The state government has vehemently denied that the state Treasury had placed a deposit for a high-end Mercedes-Benz for the use of Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said.
State Secretary Datuk Mokthar Nong denied talk that there was an order for a Mercedes-Benz S class for the MB.
“I did not receive any instruction on this and can confirm that there was no purchase of such a vehicle,” he said here yesterday.
He was commenting on speculation that the state government had ordered a tax-free RM600,000 Mercedes S class to be used as an official car for the MB.
